:wave_cry:Well the day is here i go into hospital at 8pm my op is in the morning at 7am, hope the surgeon is awake, and me asleep. I have packed my bag, nighty, dressing gown, slippers, knickers, book, phone charger water,personal things,Can anyone think of anything else? also can you have a shower after op? my legs are like jelly allready the excitement has gone, feeling a lot scared, wish it was over:sigh: my bag looks like i am going away for a week. Oh good luck. Try to get some deflatine tablets or other wind relief (I didn't like the peppermint water they give you in hossie). And yes you can have a shower as soon as you feel up to it.

I didn't take shampoo in because I was only in for 2 nights but they run some blue dye through your mouth tube to check for leaks before they finish with you in theatre and some can spill onto your face or hair as they take the tube out. It did with me and they washed it off with some greasy stuff. My hair was a sight lol. So take a small bottle of shampoo. Those mini bottles Asda sell on the holiday shelf are ideal.

Hi Wendy - Good Luck for tomorrow, take a magazine if you prefer, rather than a book; easy enough to put down and pick up whenever it suits and you don`t need to get too engrossed!
