I weighed myself for the first time in 15 years. Even when I've been weighed by my GP and at the hospital I haven't wanted to know. They told me my BMI was 50 but that just feels like a number.
Today just seemed right. I weigh 19 stone and 7 pounds. There... I said it. It's probably no more or less than I expected, but I'm relieved that I'm still under 20 stone. Psychologically that is important to me.
I lurk more than I post here... but I've become an avid reader and it's all your stories which have given me the strength to do this. It's an important step in my journey. I'm actually glad now, that the op date I was given in December, was cancelled. It was far too quick and I was far from being mentally ready for surgery and all the life implications. I'm not saying that I'm 100% ready now, but I am much more prepared.
I couldn't (wouldn't) have done it without you. Thank you !
