oooo hope someone comes along who can help, im pre so cant.... hope everything settles down soon sweets xx

I struggle with all meats and fish. They're not so much stuck but make my stomach gurgle to I steer away.

The ones I'm OK with are ones in stews or in sauces. The cod in Parsley/Butter sauces boil in the bags were the best for me xx

i am pre op as ya know hun so im just quessing but im just thinking the same as what mixman has said - try eating it mixed with mash pots and runny gravy - or fish in sauce!
hope ya sort it soon! xxx

When you puree the meat do you add fluid? I used chicken oxo with chicken and normal oxo with beef.....it makes it sloppier so its easier to digest. I find I still have trouble with meats sometimes but like Mixxy says meat with sauce or gravy goes down easier. Good Luck hun :D XX

You can always get your protein in with cheese, milk, yoghurt, pulses, eggs and protein shakes if necessary.
Hopefully your tolerance levels will get better as you get further on.
If not, you'll have to seek advice from your dietician.

Best wishes with it, do let us know how you get on

Karen what meats are you trying? My suggestion would be to stick with mince and perhaps a bit of corned beef (fat scraped off) and gravy, also fish pie should be easier. It may be that you are just over estimating how much you can eat. When you first start eating you'll be surprised at how much fills you.....

But if this fails you can get your protein from eggs (but they bothered me at your stage - although the bypass friendly egg custard probably wouldn't bother you) and dairy products such as cheese/milk/yoghurts, then obviously protein drinks too....

Please let me know how you get on and if you want the egg custard recipe give me a shout on FB xx
