Trying to overfeed everyone else

Had a problem since my op. I have never liked cooking never been interested. However, I have this sudden urge to cook. Spent all afternoon baking pies and making cakes. My husband thinks he will have to have a bypass soon if I keep feeding him. I have a theory; never liked cooking as I knew I would eat everything and always had to keep an eye on my weight-but I can't eat any of it now so I don't mind cooking ?.

Hey i did exactly the same. my hubbie gained half a stone in the first few weeks just lucky he's skinny and could of done with filling out a bit!!! ha ha

Yep same here, my dogs are loving it, although holly my lab is starting to have close resemblance to shamoo.

yep im the same !!! As i cant eat, i make food for others and pile there plates up with generous portions, maybe its to compensate for what i cant eat now, very strange aint it,

lol iv done this when dieting and have a slightly chubby pre teen now so instead iv taken to watching every cookery program thats on

I have harnassed my feeding desires and cultivated them into jam making tendancies! Everyone's getting home-made hampers for christmas this year lol! Today will include blackberry jam, mango chutney, and onion marmalade

People have commented on where my weight has gone and then they look on my 4yr old... lol!! Bless his not fat really just tall which makes his look big. It force of habit to cook the same amount as b4!! I love food... can i say it again without feeling guilty... I LOVE FOOD. Why does your mind go blank when eating???

I love food, its a good social event also. I tend to fuss over the little critters that come into my garden, I feed two squirrels, a family of hedgehogs, a stray cat, lots of pairs of collards doves amongs many other varieties and my five pussycats. If anyone visits me the first thing is kettle is on etc, wonder if its my polish roots as every meal is an occasion. I remember one visit sitting in a tiny kitchen with about 10 of us drinking and eating for hours and them making me sing to hear my english voice! A lovely social time with family.....ah I miss them..... ..Linda x
