Over the last 2 months i gained 10lb due to stress and eating habits.

Now back on track and heading in the right direction, keeping a diary and watching the types of food i eat. However also reassured my pouch is still working and stopping me eating loads, so no slider foods, loads fluids and i need to up my protein a bit without adding to many calories

You have done so well and its good to see you can get back on track. well done

Thanks, i needed the wake up call of trousers getting tight to tell me i had to re-evaluate what i was eating and i now know how long i have to wait and maintain so a little extra off will aid me there. So i am going to keep on the way i have the last 2 weeks and see if i can shake a little more which means i also need to exercise.

Better a little now and me shift it again then loads in the future and not know whats hit me

Oooh snap Di, its a bummer isn't it but good to realise the need to get back to basics of healthy eating.

Good luck

M

Marvellous that you noticed the trousers tightening and did something to address it. How many times have i felt mine tightening and brought bigger ones? Lots!

You are so close to goal and i am 100% certain there will be a post from you soon telling us all you are there :) xx

Thanks everyone, yes its satisfying to see the weight coming off i stalled for so long i took it to mean i would not lose any more and should maintain. Well now i know i have lost the whole 10lb i put on plus one more, finally down under 11 stone for the first time and planning on keeping it going. I have worked out that rather than 3 meals a day my metabolism prefers small meals 5-6 times a day, well i try for 3 meals and 2 snacks of fruit or a Latte if i need food & fluids. I have a latte's as i think these were bulking my calorie intake a lot especially when i would have a couple of biscuits with it.

Now not snacking with fluids, and am averaging 1k cals per day ranging between 800 - 1200.

bless you have done so well, and you got back on track straight away, well done hun

I think thats the trick, get back on track and focused as soon as you notice but not agonise over every lb gained, just know that you need to allow some leeway in your weight depending on life events at that time

weight in time, now down to 153lb, amazingly the optimum time for me to weight has altered from morning (when i get out of bed) to late afternoon, no idea why that is unless i retain water while sleeping.

I have been looking at why my weight may not be shifting and have to consider that i might be building up muscle while burning fat off so i am going to get myself some body fat scales and monitor it over the next month.

I have averaged 930 cals a day so far this month.

A typical day wll see me have a mullerlight and piece of fruit for breakfast, 2 meals of meat + salad/veg, and 2 snacks one sually a pack of go ahead biscuits ( my carbs) and some fruit. I wnot say i have been totally good because i have had a couple of chocolate bars but even these over the period have not pushed my average cals over the 1000.

I walk for at least 30 mins a day and once a week do a 6-7 mile walk. I can finally do this at mph :)

It has taken me 17 days to lose what i had regained hopefully i will continue to lose ad wont stall just yet. I would be happy with just a lb a week as long as it comes off

Youve done really well to shift that so quickly Di. Wish I could get mine to shift!

Keep up the great work x

Yeah, as above, you've done great! Sounds like you got it all cracked!

I'm at work and home and my scales are in Hull at my fiancé's so it won't be later when I can weigh myself and find out how much I've gained again after being at an all time low Friday!

I've done the last 4 12 hour days so I know I will have gained. All that coffee!

Thanks everyone, feels good to be focused again

Bought some really technical scales today but easy to use, they show a lot about my body and i need to track it for a month add the results together and find the averages. Men are lucky they would only need to do the tracking for a week.

Thankfully they registered my weight at the same as my old scales whooo so no variation.... anyone need a set of working scales? Basic does metric/imperial ect

Weight - 69.6KG/10st 13lb
Body Fat - 37.9% avg should be 24%-34%
Body Water - 45.5% Avg shoould be 47%
Muscle Mass - 31.0 - no idea of averages here if anyone can help please do
BMI - 27.9 - scale calc puts it slightly higher then ticker calc
BMR - 1402 - LOW!! took reading before taking tyroid meds will see what it is an hour after taking meds ahh reminded myself there no meds taken yet so expect an update on that reading in an hour

Body water is a little low i will try and drink more water, i suspect i need to build more body mass/muscle which in turn will increase the BMR.

so the question i have to answer is build muscle and risk gaining weight or see what transpires over the next few weeks going on as i am
