up and down bmi worries

Hey everyone, when you get referred your gp uses your bmi to validate your referral. What happens if for example you are ill with that awful sickness bug and you lose half a stone thus effecting your bmi, would you be refused surgery on those grounds because your bmi drops? This is just one of the many thoughts I have flashing through my head... After my doctors visit today my bmi has gone up to 40.3 but it was only 39.3 :(:( so it has gone up but sometimes it goes less but nearly always hovers round the 40 mark. Thank you xx

I was told to keep mine up!

Just eat something and you'll get it up!

Yeah my Gp told me to keep mine up for my first appt after his referral as I was going to start my diet but i was lighter by my first appt by a few pounds. I don't think fluctuating by 1 or 2 will matter only major drops
