Hi all,

Is there an alternative to urdox (Ursodeoxycholic acid for gallstone prevention) as i have a rash from it? the doc thought it was fasttab but looks more like its the urdox?

Will visit docs tomorrow and ask but just wondering if anyone has an alternative...

Hi Suz hows it going - And is that where my rash came from my GP gave me new moisturiser and betnovate so the rash was treated

not bad ty phil, your doing great! I have been prescribed antihistimenes (spelling) and e45 cream but still get itchy hives. common from fasttab i was told however stopped it a month ago and still have nasty hives... next step i guess is stopping urdox but will see what doc suggests. Rash is worst on my chest, but common on arms and hands with it sometimes appearing on my belly and legs...the hives are so itchy that i end up blistered from rubbing them.

lol, Doc said no alternative but could try capsules instead of tablets. The capsules are also a lower dosage so trying that for a month.
