At my post op check up i was talking with my consultant and he raised the issue of the gi index of foods and told me to use the tables as a guideline when making food choices as it can make a difference such as choosing sweet potatoes rather than mash is actually better for you as they release energy slowly so make us feel fuller for longer. I have attatched a couple of pages of info which maybe of interest to someone on here.
As we sometimes plateau this may help us kickstart our weight loss anything helps.
