Hi all

What advice have you all had about vitamins? Do you take them and do you think it helps? Is it worth paying for bariatric ones...For example healthier weight do some, but they are very pricey. Or is supermarket or cheaper ones just as good?

Thanks!

hi,

I'm just taking the supermarket ones.. I wouldn't pay the extra for the special bariatric ones (I always was a bit mean haha).

I've heard lots of people saying these are good. I did try them but didn't like the taste of them...

Have to say ive not tried them yet just getting myself ready for after the op by sorting my bag out and bits and pieces

the healthier weight ones are very expensive and also have a vile after taste...I'd avoid them and save your money!

If you're getting a balanced diet on normal foods you don't need to take them but a good idea on liquids and mash - chewable sanotogen are fine

Prenatal for hair and nails are a must according to the nurse I saw. Please ask your health provider though, maybe they think differently.

I have been given the fizzy Forcival, totally hate them, even the smell makes me heave, have asked next prescription be for the capsual, but would I be ok till then taking a good multi vitimin?

I take Fit For Me Bariatric Vitamins. I had a gastric bypass so with the malabsorption regular vitamins just don't give me what I need. For example the dose of vitamin B12 is 2000% the rda
