Hi all. I'm feeling a bit despondent at the moment. Had some bad news yesterday that my journey is being delayed.
I was meant to have my first appointment with the nurse next month and see the surgeon 4 to 6 weeks later but now I have to wait until April for the first appointment as my surgeon has unfortunately been in an accident and is off work until April.
I also asked what the procedure is and was told that it takes about 8 months to go through the whole assessment phase, seeing the nurse, surgeon, dietician, psychologist, specialist and then the surgeon again to be placed on the waiting list for surgery. By this time my surgery is likely to be next year.
I know it will give me time to lose weight on slimming world but I am so disappointed and frustrated. I just want to get started now.
