All you guys have done great! I'm proud to be one of you.
I started my wls saga 3 years ago, when my GP referred me to bariatric clinic. I weighed 17 and a half stone. I had to lose 10% of my body weight before they would even consider me for surgery, so about 18 months ago I got down to 15- stone and bounced between 15 and a hlf stone which I maintained. My surgery was delayed and delayed agian, but I had my sleeve gastrectomy on March 25 and I am now 13 and a half stone. I feel like a different person, I am so happy.

Early days for me .... Bypass 15th April 09 (2 weeks ago). Have lost just over a stone since starting pre-op diet.

I was Bypassed on the 6th December 08, and I will be 5 months out on saturday and was 15st 7lbs,
As of Today I have Lost 5 stone Exactaly,

had open gastric bypass on the 8th march have lost 4stone 3 lbs up to 21 st april.

wow... thats a lot in a short space of time!!! how have you managed that!?

The more you have to lose, the faster it comes off they say so someone who has 100lbs to lose will lose in the beginning slower than someone who has 200lbs to lose. It evens out when the person gets within 50lbs of their goal - then it slows down for everyone, some by alot some by only a little.

Hi YoYo, I lived among the Janners for a long while. I learned to keep my Pasty heritage a secret as everyone accused me of being inbred! I was brought up on a farm on Bodmin moor. I would love to go back to be nearer my family but can't see that happening unless I win the Lottery (which is bound to happen).HaHa etc.
Did you live in Saltash? I taught in the Comp for a while before I moved up to sunny Newport.

1st band 22/03/2005, lost 7st 7llbs, had a band fault regained 2st in just under a year, de and rebanded 29/08/2008 i have 9 llbs to re loose to get me back down to the 7 st 7 that was lost in total the 1st time.
