Webcam Chat anyone?

Hello all
So, I got myself a nice new webcam today. I did have one but it didnt have a microphone on it and was quite naff actually lol
So, anybody on here have messenger and a webcam that fancies a webcam chat? Its really cool to see the people youre chatting to.

LOL about being fully clothed! I was using this facility a while ago but I didn't have a webcam and someone else did....and I asked my son if he could see me, becuase i was't dressed yet! How daft am I?
I would be up fo this Stephie, but my laptop has just gone off for repair. I'm using my son's but pobably not for long as he's getting stuck into revising.
I've got a web cam on my laptop and have never yet used it! When it comes back from repair I'll give it a spin.

You can get some cheap little webcams, mine was £12.99 and it has a microphone and zoom lol dont know when Ill ever use the zoom though haha

Thank you so much, so lovely and very thoughtful... it will be by my bedside... I have a little shelf... full of Angels and she will be right at my side... thank you so much again.. a lovely little heart in her hands...

I'm going to be resting for a few days... since I feel as though I have a cold coming and they always go straight for my chest... and I want my surgery more than anything in January... so I'm doing all that I can to keep the bugs at bay... but I still love to see my visitors so it's not easy.

Aww honey I hope youre better soon xxx I know how you feel, I had a cold about two weeks back and have promptly caught my sister and Toms bad chest and cold...lots of fun!!!

i would love to do this but i am thick as a brick when it comes to things like this. can you tell me what i need and how to do it?

Basically Sue you need to buy a webcam,even a cheapy will do, plug it in to your computer and get msn or yahoo messenger and add whoever you want to talk to and then you or they start the webcam chat and you see each other as you chat. If you have a microphone on your webcam or just a microphone on your computer you can voice chat too.

Never had a webcam till I bought my netbook... now we use Skype to make free video calls all the time - it's brill ! We see & speak via Skype with my brother in law in Australia regularly and arranged for him to have a video call on Xmas day with his mum & dad (aged 91 & 97) cos they came to us for lunch... they speak with him on the phone every other week but couldn't get over being able to see him on the computer ! It was really special.
