it isn't unusual to have times of weight gain. Have you done something different? What stage are you on? Things such as time of month etc can effect it.

I.ve been told by my surgeon that weight fix or mild gain 500-1000 gm may happen on 2nd week to 10 days then dramatic loss will ocurr. So donot worry about it . I.m now on my 15th day PO and weight is stable for 1 week now

I had my band 2weeks ago tomorrow not my period and haven't done anything different so I am not really sure why I have gained have to go with what the surgeon said about gaining in the 2week thanks guys

so are you moving onto mash stage?

You may find at this time you will put on more - the body is taking in very minimal calories and stalls are common because it's holding on to the food and reserves in your body, this will normally change when you get on to normal foods.

Weight loss isn't dramatic with a band, it's 1-2lb average a week, but also stalls and gains are common. I've just done 7 days milk/water and 7 days bland mashed foods due to a defill and put on 4lb.

Don't give up, stick to the guidelines and hang in there. At the moment you're recovering from surgery and body is healing too

i put on weight after 3 weeks post op dont worry about it it will come off again! Maybe try walking a bit more x x

My provider warned of weight gain immediately post-op, for the first 4 weeks on liquids and mush. Keep doing the right things and the scales will reflect it. Good luck x
