becareful you dont start your pre-op diet to ealy as my hospital say you can not stick to it long term x check with your surgeons on what they say x

thanks eyore..... the slim fast is a diet recomended for everyone hey... i wont do the milk diet before im told... but i will do the shake diet from slim fast for a few weeks as abit of a weightloss shock to my body hopefully thats the plan anyhow :)) x have you done slim fast? i cant see how its maintable i couldnt drink shakes forever but i think its good for a quick start so to speak xx

i did slim fast years ago and didnt like it i have just been doing a low carb and high protein pre-op diet for last 6 weeks thats how long charring cross give you , as my op was suppose to be tuesday coming (20th) but its been cancelled untill they do some other tests ..which i am not happy about i am now not aloud to follow the actual pre-op diet i have to increase the carbs slightly ....................but i have lost 2 1/2 stone in that time and i am determined it wont go back on i have been doing more exercise than ever ......................... good luck x

thanks eyore.... gosh 6 weeks isnt that long really is it is that for your weightloss target or the pre op diet... oo sorry just re read so its 6 weeks pre op?!? gosh thats the longest i heard thought it was around 10 days... tho i suppose everywhere is different hey... your doing well eyore well done you :) xx

thanx kelly , yes from what i have read charring cross seem to have the longest pre-op thats if you doing the low carb high protein diet, but it does vary from person to person and i guess from weight to weight .
