As most of you know I went for my first fill today...
Never actually happened.
So, got to the hospital (St John and Elizabeth in NW London) which I've had booked for 8 weeks. I'm now over 6 weeks post op and really need my first fill. I went to 3 different floors and receptions and no one knew what the hell i was on about or who i was meant to see. I phoned my dietician (who booked the appointment) and he's out of the office for the week. great. So i phone the general enquiries SurgiCare line. No answer. Emergency 24 hour number. No answer. At this point I am literally close to tears through sheer frustration and disappointment. So then i try the Wimpole street surgicare where I've been a couple times for wound checks and appointments etc. I eventually get transferred though to some one and explain what happens. She looks at the letter on the screen and says but that's what the letter says. I'm like i know what the bloody letter says I've got it with me. At this point I am massively pissed off, I haven't eaten or drank for 6 hours in preparation for it and I've had to take the day off work for it to be told "I'm really not sure what's going on as it's 5pm and everyone's left the office". Great, thanks for your help and support, it makes me feel so glad I've spent all those thousands of pounds for this outstanding service.
I'm sorry to rant guys but need to get this out of my system because I'm just feeling upset and frustrated, I've been looking forward to really starting to lose the weight and get on with my journey and it seems such an avoidable set back.
