Hubby has just received a phone call from his millionaire boss instructing him that we must both attend the charity ball with him and his family in 2 weeks time.
Its a very formal black tie event.

HELP! Ive never been to one before and have not got a clue what to wear. Ive just been on internet trying to find a long dress in size 22/24 but its going to be mission impossible!

Dress...hair....makeup....food....drink!!!! im panicking and only 2 weeks to prepare.

The bosses family will be top to toe in designer gear and bidding loads of money whilst im going to sit there probably in a cheapo bin liner from evans with a few quid in my purse!

I could seriously cry, and before you ask, there is no way i can get out of it as he had already paid £200 for our tickets.

By the sounds of it you've no chance of backing out, so now you need to prepare, if it was me I would be looking at Ebay for a dress, only because you are going to be this size for a short while and then NEVER AGAIN!!

Have you any shops near you that hire out wedding clothes as they might have dresses in a range of sizes? I would also suggest ebay/charity shops xx

Thanks Sarah, Ive spotted a few on ebay and dont mind spending about £50 but really dont want to spend loads as i will only wear it the once.

Im going to the local bridal shops next weekend to see if they have anything to hire, but average cost of hiring is about £100.

Have a look on the marks and Spencer website. They have a long black gown with a short sleeve which is really flattering. It will fit you beautifully and it is £45 I think. It is very elegant and you can dress it up with jewellery and accessories. I think it will be just the job. I have one for a cruise later this year and it looks fab

It comes with an organza silver shawl, but that will be see through and i want to cover the back (elasticates backs to me mean FAT).
I was thinking of either black or light purply pink wrap.
I will keep searching....lets hope i get it.

God that dress is so beautiful, just stared at it for ages. If you get it make sure you post a pic of you wearing it.
