what does a family and school support worker do

it depends where thier from? is it education, camhs or social services. i know they all come under childrens services but they play different roles depending on where they are based.

In our school the family worker helps families that have problems or issues that they need help in solving, work with families where attendance is a problem, deals with child protection issues, and also works with children that have issues or just there if parents, carers or children need to talk

Thanks ladies, i spoke to the head at chloes school and she explained that theres a selected few who have been offered the extra help in years 5 & 6 primary school.
