My sleep apnoea and lung function test was not part of the actual pre-op session, it was done way before that when I was first referred. For the actual pre-op (ie the one you have to have before any surgery, which is only valid for a certain time) I had:
* ECG
* Blood tests
* Blood pressure check
They will also ask you a range of questions (e.g. what medications are you on, medical history, previous surgeries, allergies etc). Endoscopies are usually not routinely done on all patients, unless there's a reason for it, though perhaps some surgeons prefer it.
