What is going on here!

Peterborough Guy

Luton and Dunstable
Ok so last night I had a little dish of turkey mince, carrots, peas, mashed potato and lots of gravy.

I normally struggle with mince, but last night no problem at all.

Now for lunch, again I had the same again, nothing different, and been sick 3 times and feel like I have no energy and generally feel like C**p lol

I am thinking of going back onto fluids for a few days to give things time to settle down.

Grrr the joys of a bypass lol

yes the joys of our bypass, one never knows what each day will bring what one can tolerate one day sometimes can't the next,, drink loads of fluids and let your pouch rest xxxxxxxx

It's very strange isn't it. I'm still on puree food but at the beginning of the week had chicken pureed with gravy, pureed carrots and mash potato. first time I ate 4 tablespoons full of food and did not have any side effects or problems. Last night I prepared exactly the same meal. Had no more than a teaspoon full and felt full, had pain in tummy and under my rib cage and felt i was going to be sick. I wasn't but felt really dreadful! I went to bed early and only got up at 12.15 and still feel tired !!

How strange! give it a couple of days and try again.... Maybe you had more liquid inside or different foods earlier in the day. Or maybe it is "just one of them things" as the docs like to say.

Our tums are funny things post op! Eventually you may well get a tum a bit like mine and other bypassers i know. I can look at something or just think about what i'm going to eat and know if my stomach won't tolerate it....

Unfortunately for me i very rarely can throw it back, which would be much nicer. Instead i suffer for hours unable to even drink....

Stick to fluids/yoghurts for a couple of days. You'll know when you want to eat again xx
