I believe they miscalculated with mine & I have 8 &1/2 in a 10 band!!!
What about you???
Anyone about the same, how do you feel???
Xxxx

Why do you think that Mandy?

I have 8 1/2 in a 9mil band and feel fine with it. My last fill was a while back x

Went in to have finally fill under X-ray, others times they laid me down drew out the liquid. Sometimes they had to draw out again to get the full amount out they put in as it tender to hide :)
But as it was done under X-ray they kept me standing so when withdraw 1 & 1/4 was missing tried to explain about it hiding, wasn't interested. So put 7 & 1/2 back in. So I recon I now have between 8 & 1/2 - 8 & 3/4. Really tight, which is ok but got to be careful as seem to have a lot of wind & acid. Spoke to my consultant, he said give it a few weeks, use a straw & chew chew chew. Plus don't eat late as I was waking up with acidy sick in my mouth (sorry yuk)
Xxxx

Ah I see, yes I had that happen to me. I had a different nurse who took everything out after I had another operation and some was missing. She said the anesthetic could of caused it. Saw the usual nurse a month later and no problem.

So yes indeed you could have too much or at least more than they thought.

Dont suffer with it for long, go back if its too tight x

I have 5 mils in a 7 mil band ,well till friday as having a defill, mandy I am in same position with acid reflux and thats why I am having a defill friday . Dont put up with it for too long because it may just get worse. The acid to me is happening on a daily basis (mainly at night, but every night) its just come out of nowhere really and even with acid reflux meds from the docs its made no difference and I know I need a defill . Wishing u all the best xx

I had my 4th fill which takes me to 7.5ml in 10ml band

Think you might feel that now Mis! X

You should have seen the dietitian face when I told her I can eat a fillets steak!!!

My Dietician said I should be able to eat steak. Isn't it funny how different the advice is from different providers. I think it shows that this gastric band business is still in its infancy!

True Mrs pill very true xxx

Thanks Mazza strange some days it's not too bad but will keep an eye on it xx

Yes seems that I went from one extreme to another

I can drink a pint of water in one hit even now! I've got 6.5ml in a 11ml band. I now know I'm not as restricted as some of you yet still losing :) Its a long road but a good one :)

I also can drink a glass although I have slowed down a lot but know I could

Well I do know that I can't drink half a pint of lager in one hit now- tried on holiday cos I was so thirsty!! - far too fizzy- had to let it stand a bit then it went down fine. :)
