what ward after op at L&D?

louisaL

looking to make a change!
What is the ward you go on after your op?

Is it a unisex recovery ward for all patients who have had that type of op or any op?

You will probably be in ward 22 - the ward is split into several single sex bays with 6 beds in each so unless you leave your bay and go wandering the corridor to the loo you won't see any men!

Oh and I forgot to say, 22 is mainly used for bariatric, general stomach and bowel surgery patients.

Obviously everything depends on bed availability! Sometimes they have to shift people about - I was moved to different parts of ward 22 three times whilst I was in!

Are you still using your sleep machine? I had a sleep test redone after 4months of op and my sleep apnoea was back at normal level so i had to send my machine back boy was i chuffed. have to admit we had some laughs at me in my hosehead as you call it. My husband said God help any one that breaks inthey would get an awful shock. xx

Hi christa was that for snagglepuss?

Hi there Chrisa - yep Im still using my cpap but my pressure has dropped from 11cm to 8cm - Papworth hospital have told me to keep dropping it gradually to see if I can gradually come off it - fingers crossed!
