When can I start exercising??

Jezabelle

Quitting is NOT an option
Just wondering when I can start to exercise on my wii & plus board?

I want to get half way before I go swimming or to a Aerobics class. So it's home exercise for me for now. :) x

Good question i was thinking the same thing although might be diff for me as i am a bypasser xx

I wasn't given the all clear to exercise until 8 weeks post op as a bypasser. This was to do heavy cardio exercise at the gym.

Hi Julie

I went back to the gym 2 weeks post op but just to use the treadmill, got the ok from my provider to do this. I was advised to wait until 6 weeks to do anything more strenuous. And all wounds healed before swimming.

Just take it easy and see how you get on x

Thanks Mazza.
I wonder if the step program would be ok to do without swinging my arms?? x

Give it a try, just dont push yourself. Remember your not consuming many calories x

I did half an hour of bits and bobs on the wii fit yesterday but mainly step and balance nothing strenous and felt fine.

Hi i was given the all clear to return to swimming 8 days after banding , Mr Super said it would be fine as the wounds were glued (no stitches) so no risk of infection , i was fine , but everyone is different and heals at their own speed , just don't over do it , good luck.x

I attended my GP yesterday to ask about gastric band.
I have been referred to Weightloss managment as this is the road in to get funding ( i think! ) up at the royal i think.. need to call within 2 weeks to get an appt.
GP thinks i would be a very good candidate as i have bmi of 45, im injection controlled diabetes and im only 21!

all advice would be appreciated!!
