When can we drive after op?

When can we drive after having the op? I'm staying in hospital two nights so if I drive myself it will be day three. Any body know?

I had my gallbladder out and it was 2 weeks. Beware that your insurance is invalid if you drive before they advise to. Hope this helps.

I was bypassed and told 6weeks.. In saying that everywhere has different timescales. For insurance purposes because I was clearly told 6 weeks I wouldn't have been properly covered had I ignored this advice.

Its also Insurance that doesn't cover you after surgery its usually about 5 days..but always check

I was told not to drive until staples were out so in my case ten days
I think if you drive to soon after surgery you have the drugs still in your system so I don't think its safe to drive too soon after surgery
