Who had their surgery with Dr Heath at the Whittington

Hi,
Found out today my op (if I am accepted!!) will be with Dr Heath. Has anyone else had or going to have their op with him? I have heard lots about Dr Sufi but want some info on Dr Heath!! Do they have different restrictions on who they recommend???

He is fabulous - Mr Sufi is Clinical Lead and my surgeon but everyone who has had Mr Heath said he was wonderful - dont worry! Think they just allocate according to waiting lists. Sure you can swop if you want to but there is no need.

No I'm sure all will be well!! Just a but nervous as everyone talks of mr Sufi but don't say much about Heath. I know Heath does private procedures aswell. Does dr Sufi? Is there a huge difference between their waiting list times? Thanks!!!!

No - as far as Im aware, Mr Sufi's full time job is running the Whittington NLOSS dept so doesnt have time to do private work. Honestly dont worry - they wouldnt have an incompetent person doing this. My friend Lizzy who posts on here, had her op cancelled whilst she was in admissions cause there were no beds in ITU and Mr Heath moved his diary round and cancelled some private work to operate on her two weeks later - thats the kind of guy he is - a good person and a great surgeon.
