It wasn't me that had the ulcer it was some othe poor lady i just read it then saw a thread tonight saying howmuch most people still enjoyed coffee and lots of it, so am looking for the person who wrote their story down. xx

A friend of mine had her SIL die, about 15 months after her bypass, from perforated ulcers in the bowel, caused by her refusal to give up Dr. Pepper. I don't know how many glasses of it she drank a day but she described it to my mate as her 'best friend'. She was conscious when they had to tell her and her family that she was having multiple organ failure. She had to tell her husband to turn off life support and left behind 4 children, from 11 to 19. That's all the caution I need, I weaned off colas and switched to decaf tea, no coffee at all about a year before my surgery. Very scary stuff.
