WL Stalls - How do you deal with them?

As the title says, how do you deal with your weight loss stalls?

I am into my 6th month since surgery, and for the first time this week didn't lose weight. I am not overly worried at this stage, just pondering in my head whether I have hit my first 'stall'.

I am interested in your thoughts.

Hi Rose there's a thread in 6 months post op that has a lot of replies to this. HTH

As above :)

But I've just had nearly 3 weeks where I've not lost anything. I just stepped up the exercise, did a bit more, eat a few different things at different times and I suddenly lost nearly 1/2 stone this last week!

It's just about putting a bit more effort in.

Hi Rose

Lots of advice banded about around plateau's or weight lose stalls - and there's a variety of ways to deal with a plateau available to us....... most plateaus will go on there own and there's things you can do to kick it out a bit quicker which we can look at when you hit a plateau.

For me it was really simply, i learn't what caused a plateau and how to deal with, first thing i'd do is take a hard look at my diet over the past few weeks ! - normally i could identify bad foods from that and address easilly setting myself back on track, i'd increase protein and cut the carbs and change my exercise pattern slightly to trick my body, increase water intake and sit back and wait for the plateau to go, its always worth doing a calorie count occassionally just to make sure your gettin enough cals in a day.

Basically dont worry to much about it, all dieters on any sort of diet hit a plateau at some stage, and we'll deal with it as and when you hit one :)
