Hello, I started my WLS journey in April 2013, my orientation day .
Since then I've had a phycological assessment , dietitian/ nutritional classes, nurse practitioner appt. , surgeon consult , 2 gastroscopes , 1 barium swallow , and 1 CT scan. Finally I was able to have my gastric bypass ( RNY ). I had the procedure done on Jan. 29/14, at Toronto East General Hospital in Ontario Canada, by Dr Aarts. Covered by our health care. I'm very happy to have been granted approval. It was a long process, but well worth all the life changes.
Almost one week out, still doing liquids, my taste has changed quite a bit , can't tolerate protein shakes. I've switched to adding natural protein to my soups and milk.
Still have gas and constipation . Working on it
