Bouncing Bander
Ok, I need to approach a subject that so far, ive seen as a bit hush hush on this site.....
Im not a big drinker...never have been...But before my surgery I used to go out on a Friday or Saturday night to a rock/alternative pub...and drink Jamesons whiskey and coke - maximum of the night of approx 5-6 of them....but that wasn't every week, but maybe one day a week or fortnight. (of course Im not allowed fizzy drinks now- or well im avoiding them, so id have to change my choice of alcohol)
I dont drink at home unless I have a party/dinner with people...and if that is the case, its more than likely one drink.
Now, im almost 2 weeks post op, feeling a lot better and people are wanting to see me etc....So tomorrow is my first time out - not to a pub/bar/club but to a Alternative market....But it goes on to a party in the evening. So im not sure if I should have anything or not yet....
I done various diets for years, and Weight watchers always left memorable points/calories in my head...So I know things like a spirit & Diet mixer is one point, but so is a glass of wine (not sweet wine)....
I'm thinking Beer/Cider - anything on tap basically - is out as its fizz.
So is mixers of fizz...
Now, I do like Malibu, So perhaps that with Orange or pineapple juice. (id possibly in a whole evening out, sip it, so approx 4 I would have)
(White rum is ok with me....but I cant do vodka it gives me a headache)
Perhaps white wine or rose wine?
So here's my questions:
Obviously a lot of people avoid alcohol for dietary/calorific matters or because alcohol effects us more if we have had surgery.....But Im 34yrs old, its part of my life when i'm out socialising, and its not like I drink a lot anyways.

- Am I allowed Alcohol yet?
- If not, when is advisable?
- What alcoholic drinks do people drink after they have had bariatric surgery....
