thanks liz, i'll be coming to the next support meeting after the 7th cos i'll feel like a fraud till after this next appointment lol, only problem is i may be stuck for a babysitter as hubby will want to come to whats the policy on (hopefully) sleeping babies lol

hiya Rachael, i hope you can find a baby sitter as we dont really allow kids at the meetings, the next support group is 27th next Thursday, your welcome at any stage pre or post op, it will be great to meet you, your O/h is very welcome to join us as lots of patients partners attend as it doesnt just effect us but them too once we have been done and the meetings can help to ease some of there worries and concerns about things, i hope to meet you soon x

Glad to hear you have a timescale to work to Liz and knowing that they are doing it all in one shot. My original date was delayed for 52 weeks which I thought would never end, but it is amazing how quickly it did come round. xx

Morning me little geordie, as you used to tell me the time will fly and at least as everyone else has said at least you have a timescale, and as for sticking to the plan again as I have said before, if you feel like eating crap ring me for permission first thats what my number is for

i was informed today that i will be waiting the full 18 weeks from been put on the waiting list which was May 5th, so that takes me up to the begining of September, they want to do everything during the 1 op band removal and straight to bypass, so now i just gotta wait my turn. I now know where i stand time scale wise, and i shall try my best to not regain any more weight between now and then, i shall keep you all updated as things progress, thanks for reading....Liz

Hi Liz, in the same boat! Told by the office I was on the 18 week list from March 22nd! Brings me up nicely to our weeks holiday in France. Either way, Milk diet or Post-op! Red Wine & Cheese no problem says Bev, she will take care of it!!! See you at the S'ld meeting next week - Paul xx

Liz, I think I'm a couple of weeks ahead of u so I'll be having op around 19th August (fingers crossed)!!

We'll get there soon enough, like someone else said we'll be all done & dusted before Xmas. ;-)

Hi Jacci, its great that theres going to be few of us done with in a few weeks of each other all from the same group and it will be brilliant catching up along our journeys at the support group each month, its all exciting stuff

she said this was for bypass patients, i think it will be different with just a band removal, you should ring and ask how long before they can give you a surgery slot.

they tried calling me yesterday whilst I was at work, so I rang and spoke to Val this morning...the soonest they have for me is Friday 2nd of July (the week before my 45th birthday ) which I think she said was with Mr Schroeder? and I think I need to do the pre op diet again, will know for certain in a day or two when they confirm in writing.

excellent not long to wait thats a positive out come, Mr Schroeder is a very good surgeon, ive done a few seminars with him hes nice, he will look after you Yvonne x
