Hiya guys

Can i ask what your usual daily intake is this far down the line, and what your portion size it, ie, if you go for a meal do you just have a starter or half of main meal......

Just be nice to know what your eating now....

Anyone out there x

Hi bex
When I was 4 months it was just before my first holiday so we ate out alot. I was getting kiddie size meals only ever ate the meat. Still the same now :)

Hi! Im about 16 weeks ish out. Generally have slice of ww bread for toast or 30g of cereal with milk. Some mornings cant manage whole bowl or slice but getting less frequent.
I have a ww tortilla wrap with hunmus, tomato and cucumber for lunch.
If Im hungry mid aft ill have a yogurt.
Tea depends tonight I've had poached egg and bacon rasher, last night chick casserole. Sometimes bolognaise or cottage.pie. At best this will be tea plate sized.
When out I've been having kids portion or starter. Get the most quizzical looks when half the plate is untouched! Especially when a dear friend said to the waitress its ok, she can't eat much.... Bet the waitress took one look at me and thought i bet she bloody can!!!

H thanks for these guys, great to hear x

Funster, your comment made me laugh! Do you just leave it as leftovers or take it home in a box?

I haven't taken leftovers in a box for no other reason than I've not fancied what was left!! I would have no qualms asking for a doggy bag!!
I've found most places really accommodating! Despite once asking for " the bbq chicken" but without the chicken and the bbq sauce on the side!!!! Funny looks a go-go!!! ;-)

I am nearly 4 months now and can eat most things just very small quantities. If I eat spaghetti bolognaise/cottage pie/chilli con carne etc I tend to eat more as they are slider foods and dont sit in your pouch for long like more solid stuff. My Mum cooked a lovely roast on sunday and put mine on a side plate, it was roast beef, 1 roast potatoe and vegetables. I could only ate half I took the rest home and had it for supper :D. Eating out same as the others really I get a starter or kids portion but dont tend to finish all of a kids meal x

At home I have a small soup bowl which is usually Goldilocks (just right). I tend to have 2 meals a day, usually brunch and dinner. I have recently tried moving from fish and chicken back to denser meats, but they have to be diced very small and in soups or casseroles to soften them up.

When we go out, I usually share a meal with one of the ladies, I have a large starter and make it last the whole meal. I sometimes have to be quite insistent that I haven't finished yet or they try to whip my plate away before they serve the others their next course!

I fear my local Indian take away is struggling without my trade!!

some days are different to others but mainly i have 2 sandwiches 4 peices of fruit and a snack in the evening that does me but some days its less i also have a thick protien shake everyday too thats quite filling on its own

You say 2 sandwiches hun is that 2 slices bread, what do u have as snack! Thanks

anyone else x

I maybe not that far out but as I survived 47 days on peg feeds my bypass healed quickly and allowed me to progress to almost normal foods quickly, as long as they are on a tea plate and small portions. I have ventured out to cafes with my mother who lovingly and understanding the predicament has shared a sarnie with me half a prawn sarnie on brown was very filling! I AM LOVING FOOD COOKING AND ALL THAT GOES WITH IT INCLUDING analysis of nutrition intake! I now eat to live healthy and enjoy it the comfort shovel it in days are gone!

Sounds like your doing great hun, keep up the good work, am looking forward to getting off liquids onto something abit different x

I'm 8 weeks out and have eaten out quite a few times now....

Kids meals, I find aren't to my taste at all so I either have a starter, preferably seafood, but insist that the waitress checks that no fat is used at all. I dump!

Or I'll share a med/rare steak with my little girl. I've had a seafood platter - shared with OH - well I had a mussel, a teaspoon of crab 2 prawns and a crevette, he had the rest!! Some fabulous scallops, drizzled with alittle lemon juice:D

I've found that I don't bother really with carbs and because I can't eat more than about 2-3 tbs, I pick something I really want. Food tastes so much better and it really doesnt matter that I don't clear the plate:D

If all else fails I'll have a Jacket Potato with some cheese - I can manage just under half with about a tbs of the cheese.

Wait till your off the fluids, it get much easier then to find tasty things you want to eat, wont be long now:)

I've been fine on normal cheese. But choose low fat purely to keep fat levels down. Can't advise on chips, sure someone will know. X
