Can anyone tell me, when I go to my 1st group meeting appointment at Charing X, my best friend is coming with me to offer some support. Will she be able to sit on everything with me or will she have to find something to do for a few hours?:grouphugg:
MY FRIEND WENT FOR HERS LAST MONTH AND SHE TOOK A FRIEND WITH HER ...................HOPE THIS HELPS BUT EVERY HOSPITAL MAY HAVE DIFFERENT RULES ETC, MIGHT BE WORTH GIVING THEM A CALL AND SEE WOT THEIR PROCEDURES ARE .
Every meeting I have been to has allowed patients to bring a friend/family for support so I wouldn't worry. It is tough to go forward for wls and I think they know that.
I know it is hun, been there, felt that! It gets easier once it is clear you are getting the surgery. For me that was the hard bit, thinking they might snatch it away and tell me no. Once I knew for sure I was getting the surgery I felt really calm. I hope it happens that way for you.
That is exactly how I feel. I just feel like I am getting my hopes up and then they are all going to be snatched away from me. This really is my last hope and I don't know what I will do if I am refused.

I hear you hun, I think many of us feel/felt that way. Take comfort in the fact that you have been put forward because a health professional along the way has agreed that you are a good candidate. Just arm yourself with the facts of why you are a good candidate and you should be just fine.
