A strange one

I was thinking the other day would I be able to be peg fed? I wondered this as a lady I look after has forgot how to swollow and this week had a peg fitted to feed her.It made me wonder if it happened to me would I be able to have a peg with only having a small stomach and would I get all the stuff I need to survive

hi tina, how does peg feeding work ? ive never heard of it before, or im just plain thick lol

I don't know for certain Tina but I would have thought it ok.I think they would probably just put the drip slower to allow for the meal to pass through but it would take longer.

It is a tube thats goes in through your belly in to the stomach then a machine feeds you It take 13 hours (75ml an hour) to give my lady 1000ml of liquid food that has all the cals vits minerals and and otherstuff in it also has to have her meds through the tube
