advice on taking cold medicine

i know there has been a thread on this, but i cant find it , can anyone tell me if it is ok to take a cold medicine after 4 weeks post op as i have a rotten head cold, and want something for it .........

Hi,

You should always check with your team, but I was back on normal tablets at 4 weeks post op and had no problems.

i have been taking all my normal pills since the day of my op i havent had to change any medication to liquid form. but i will give them a call to see what i can take ..xx

My GP gave me a prescription for cough medicine shortly after my op, so i think it should be safe. No harm in checking it out with a doc first though.
Just make sure its a sugar free one though !

well im going to get some lemsip pills tomorrow and see how i go ..ill let u know ..lol
