Hi guys,just need some advice,I am about to book my gastric bypass and i need to take time off work,as nobody in work knows about it, im wondering what I should tell them!I plan to take off the 1st week as holidays,then self cert the second week,im just wondering how long i need to take off work altogether,I work as a delivery driver(very small packages)do you get sick notes from the hospital or the doctor and what do they put on the sick notes?my doctor knows what im doing so no worries there.any help would be great,thanks guys.

Hello,
I got my first note from the hospital and they at my request put abdominal surgery, I was given a month and then a further two weeks by my gp.
GP was happy to put the same!!
I have been off work for six weeks signed back on next Monday

I'm on week 3 and go to work in 2 more weeks. Summer vacation. You need to take time before returning. Just sitting in a car former than an hour at this point causes discomfort on left side and back.
