I girlies,

When you first had your op and could then only have liquid, did you have yogurt or does it have to be a thin liquid ?

Thx

Im still on the liquid stage and have been told I can have yoghurt but may need to thin some down. The consistency of the liquid should be able to travel freely up a straw (but not actually using a straw as it adds gas to the stomach).

No I could only have clear liquids. I couldn't manage thin yogurt for some weeks to be honest.

I had low fat fruit yogurt without any problems, I just didnt eat the bits of fruit in it.. I tended to water it down with a little skimmed milk. We are all so different, I think it is best to just try a little of something, and see if it suits your or not...

I'm day 2 of liquid diet and so far all I am managing is the soluble pain meds, I'm too full after that for anything, although I do try to get a few sips of peppermint tea in every now and again to help with the wind!

Hi Lottie

What op you having?

I had a band on tuesday and on the wednesday morning in hospital they gave me a smooth mullerlight no bits in.

x x

Hi if its a bypass you are having then normally it's clear liquids and milky stuff for 2 weeks then thiker stuff following x

Hi, I was allowed yoghurts on the liquid stage and told I may need to thin it out - I didn't, but found it very filling.

I was having weightwatchers chicken soup which is a bit thick. I think if you go easy and try a small spoonful and see how it goes. If it feels uncomfortable in any way, it is best leave it for next week.

Good luck

No too bad thank just very uncomfortable and thirsty :)

I love this site everybody is so helpful and lovelyx

Hey lottie x hope you ok and have a good rest now, I enjoyed an apple juice so much when I finally got to sip something
