I agree with Wanda, I drove at about 2 weeks, mainly because I hate driving. Silver surfer, I realise you are having fun and clearly like to live "dangerously" but you can be a bit of an a*se can you not.

Whoa gf! Back away from the keyboard, please!
SS did say this in his post, which seemes to have been oiverlooked/overshadowed by his pun about sensible police:
You should be ok after a 4 or 5 days, though i'd suggest waiting and see how you feel, only you will know if your right to drive or not !
Whatever the rights or wrongs of insurance, healing times etc. at the end of the day individuals will make their own decisions. Rather like some people who try and ram large chunks of food down their throats post-op even though they know they shouldn't. It's their choice and ultimately their responsibility.
Brett has already said he has to drive 5 days post op.

Liz I hate to disagree with you as I usually respect your opinion on most things, but the way I see this (the bigger picture - not just this thread) a few people have decided they dont like Richard, and I see that his straight talking can sometimes upset people.
I for one, respect Richard for the invaluable advice he gives to bypassers (and banders where appropriate) and would hate to see him leave the forum because a few people dont like him.
