I always seem to be the one where nothing goes right!
Just come back from yet another contact lens fitting and still not right, this is my 4th attempt! So have to wait for yet another pair. When I was coming home all I could think about was my pending surgery, I have the feeling I will be the one where something goes wrong, or it's not quite how it should be. Either with the surgery or after in the recovery period.
Do you all think like that or is it because totm is around the corner and I'm just feeling sorry for myself!

I think a lot of us think and feel like that some of us have that kind of life I know I do. I had to have 2 endoscopies most only have 1 some don't have one at all, how un lucky was that, The surgery was the one and only thing that didn't have any hitches, even at my preop there were hitches, bp sky high had a fortnight of goin to docs every 2 days to get readings cos nurse said they wouldnt do it with bop that high. 2 weeks of constant worrying thta didnt help my bp 1 bit I got into hospital was still very high and the ward nurse said not to worry they see a lot higher. I didnt know until she said that wether my op would go ahead or not after waiting 21 months. I was so releived after thta I relaxed and never looked back the op was a doddle after that what a fortnight i put in safe to say it was a rollercoaster ride, that preop nurse should realise surely that people panic. So don't worry all will come right you sound bit like me xx good luck xx

You're not alone, trust me most of us have feelings of doubt or trepidation both before and after the operation. In the case of the procedure we put our lives in the hands of the surgical team who are skilled and experienced and though they do exist, the chances of something bad happening are really very very small. They will have assessed your case and evaluated the risks and if they are happy to do it you can rest assured that you'll be fine.

Post op again we all feel that we are the one person who WLS won't work for. You read here lots of times how some think they have broken their pouches, or maybe the surgeon made it too big etc, or bleating on about some crap or other. The reality is the vast majority worry unnecessarily, the number of people who suffer complications are very small and WLS works brilliantly if you follow the plan given by your surgeon rather than unlike some idiots here believe they know better than the professionals.

You'll be fine worry not hun just take the advice from your team, rather than those who don't know their backside from their elbow, and not too long from now you'll look and feel better than you have in a long time and you'll wonder what you were ever worried about

Good luck x

good luck hun im sure ul be fine.

but someone just couldnt help but make a dig about someone else, obviously not over it yet lol

You'll be fine my lovely, you're just experiencing the same feelings we all did.
You'll get some good advice on here. Although you'll always get the one who "knows it all". You just have to pick the advice and support you value.
Good luck :) x
