Well finally am on the road to being a loser. I went for the seminar tuesday 8th, and now have to get 5kg off before the three months is up.
Interesting point for anyone in Co. Durham apparently the goal posts have been moved, in that your GP allegedly cannot refer you anymore you have to be referred by a specialist weight clinic, of which there are precisely 0 in Co. Durham the closest is Northumberland. Hoooray for the NHS decision makers.
As I have already been referred I am not affected, is it me or do these policy makers ever even think?

So anyway excited and incredibly nervous could be a 6 month wait in total. I await my consultation date with great anticipation.

I'm doing great thank you, I had my op late November last year and I'm 6st down, I can do things I've not been able to do in years So glad I went ahead with the surgery

Hi and a very warm welcome to a fab site my advise............ research research research........ use the time wisely....... prepare for your new life to come ........... I had almost a 3 year wait on the NHS (not typical most places) lol it seemed to drag forever, but wouldn't change it for the world............ the time and the preparation ensured my head was in the right place, which is the hardest bit good luck on your new path x x x x

I'm really local to you! I was sort of referred by a dr at the hospital last week, but I have to go back to my gp for a referral, I hope they're not going to send me to Northumberland :-( but well done so far, I'll be following your posts now to see how you get on x
