Another step closer

Hi everyone

Just thought that I would share my bit of good news. Have been to see the dietician today and she has given me my Milk Diet instuctions. I was quite surprised to find that it isn't "just milk"

Hopefully if all goes to plan with the waiting lists, I should start my MD on the 2nd of September and have my surgery three weeks later on the 23rd.

Well there has been a bit of an update, not sure now if surgery will be the 23rd of September. Surgeon is changing his operating day from Friday to Monday so it could now be the 12th of September (which would be cool ) or the 26th of September.

There are just so many ups and downs that pop up all over the place. Hey ho, what will be will be.

I have been shopping and bought things like my sugar free jellies for the pre op milk diet as I am allowed unlimited amounts of this. Also bought some nice Grapefruit & Orange and Lemon & Lime fruit teas. Plus, also got my slim fast and milk shake flavours for my first two weeks post op. Next week I will buy in some soups and other things that are allowed in the first couple of weeks. I want to be prepared so that I don't have to go shopping whilst I am on the milk diet and be tempted to buy something I might regret because I was feeling hungry.

Thanks Trina, I am hoping that I can buy everything that I need for my pre op diet and the couple of weeks post op before I actually start my three weeks pre op Milk Diet so that I don't have to go to the super market and hubby, being the supportive sole that he is, will be able to go on his own for what ever he will need, not forgetting the extra milk !! lol x

Good luck for that Phil. Mine is now looking like the 26th. Just hope that it doesn't move again as I was promised the beginning of September and it is looking more like October.
