Any July 2013 surgery peeps?

Well done cazmic. Don't worry too much about the pre op. I only lost 3/4 kgs on it but surgeon was delighted with my liver.
It's all about reducing size and the weight loss is just a handy by product.

Im not finding the food hard its the feeling down and tired thats hard im not actually hungary i dont think but just emotional but i think thats also the nerves now, i am getting a bit fed up of the same foods but only 3 more days x

So guys, I'm getting nervous but excited, tomorrow I'm admitted at 8 am, op should be around 11. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers please,that all goes well!
Yesterday, I've taken to write some cards for my husband and 2 girls (the eldest is 6 today yay!) just in case something does go wrong, quite difficult thing to do, and hope they won't need to open the envelopes ;-)
My parents are coming over tomorrow to look after the girls for a few days whilst I'm in hospital and husband is a work, he's going to be off for 10 days after I'm discharged,

Nearly there , last days of pre op and l must say it has not been that bad, when you know you just cannot have things as it could mean your op does not go ahead you stick to it! I have followed my diet to the letter and gram!, so my liver had better of shrunk!so far I have lost 12lbs , hope to make the stone for Monday morning .l am feeling very positive and am ready for 7am on Monday. Good luck everyone.

Well this is it, bag packed and ready to go at 6am tomorrow, feeling emotional now, spoken to my sister on the phone this morning and got a bit tearful,my husband is at work today and l think it is for the best, he is very emotional as well. This time tomorrow hopefully it will all be over. See you on the losers bench.x

Bad day today :-(
Was in hospital all ready to go, waiting in my charming gown,stockings, paper pants lol! Then all operations for today got cancelled due to a breakdown in the ventilation system in the theatre! maybe it's just not meant to be, or would Wednesday be third time lucky??

Can any one help. Im having my pre op assessment thursday and since my 1st referral in november ive put weight on. Is this going to effect the op? They didnt say anything about maintaining or loosing weight before the pre op check??

Don't think like that just try and be positive and do it!

Mines Friday lost 9 pounds so far so made up with that - nerves getting stronger :/

It's happened to me to ,ready to go to theatre, then at 3 pm today told it was cancelled, due to no beds. Nil by mouth when it is so hot was not good. Home now and will wait for a call, if l don,t call them first! Very fed up.
