Any thoughts whether Aunt Bessies Dumplings & Yorkshire Puddings in general are good or bad as a meal or even snack?!

Personally I wouldn't have thought they were great. Especially the dumplings! Yorkies maybe but would depend on the nutritional info.

agree with shell there. dumplings are usually mase fron suet which is an animal fat so keep away. yorkshire puds are so easy to make (1egg, 3oz plain flour, 5fl oz milk and a little dripping for cooking) lookin at the ingridients there are better ways to get the same nutrition in.eg Scrambled egg on whoemeal toast. The one time i have tried aunt bessies puds i found them greasy.

Yup thats the thing, yorkies were designed as a cheap tummy filler so you can eat less meat. You get very little benefit from them nutritionally and they have (at some point) been cooked in oil.

I would have to agree with everyone else here, the nutritional value of a dumpling has to be in question ! even with the aid of a band or bypass i'd be questioning if eating this sort of food is really the right way to be re educating your brain towards healthier food. Thats said everyone's allowed a treat from time to time :D

i would agree with otheres and also i find all aunty bessies stuff higher in cals and fat than anyone elses stuff from chips to shepherds pie always more cals x
