Average length betwen seeing surgeon/team and op

Received my appointment to meet with the surgeon and his team - it's for the 9th October - and I was wondering how long people had to wait for the op once they had met their team?

I met with my Surgeons team on 23rd may, had my pre op assessment on 19th June and my op on 20th August, so almost exactly 3 months.
You should be given some idea as to how long the waiting time is on average for your hospital at your appointment.

i have been told it can take 12/18mth before surgery, thats NHS Bristol

I have my initial appointment in two weeks. The nurse told me it would take roughly 6 months.

Took me 2 years. Op date dec 2010.
Hubby had gastroscopy may 2012. Awaiting op date.
Been on the pathway 1 yr 6 month up to now.

i have my appointment set for 20th december with my surgeon and was told he will pencil me in 6-12 weeks after that but you can see my journey in my sig. will be about 18 months in total
