Avoiding Vomiting After Band?

I've been same, noticed some difference but looking forward to 2nd fill next Monday...hoping I will start to proper grain train myself then :) xx

Good luck with that. How big us your band and how much did they fill it the first time if you don't mind me asking? Xx

Not sure on band size they just said its a Swedish one! First fill was 5ml xx

What size bands have you got? I've for 4.5 ml in a 10 ml band

Yeah I had a lot of restriction. I've got to be really careful what I eat and how I eat it. Datgmgp become a bit of a chore. My food always takes ages to eat and goes cold. It just makes me feel like eating slider foods as it's easier but I know it's not the purpose of the band

Do you feel like it's helping your weight loss now though? I suppose that's the main goal with most of us.
I'm finding it hard to stick to small portions when I know I can still eat loads do hopefully it'll help when I physically can't anymore! Xx

I find unless I stick to the band rules it is still possible to overeat.

I had my band in February. Lost a stone on the pre-op diet in January and gained a bit until my first fill in may. Lost a few lbs after that and had my second fill in July and some more weight.

Since January I've lost exactly 3 stone but I don't always stick to the rules which is bad of me so I know I could have lost a lot more. I've never gained any weight though and I know I can't eat nowhere near as much as I used to.

I really find my band tempormental though. Sometimes it's so tight I have to have a day on liquids and then on rare occasions I can eat bread and I don't know why?

Thanks for your honesty. You've still done really well to have lost 3st though- just think, without the op you probably wouldn't have lost anything. I think I'd be pleased if I could lose 3st in under a year. You're a very pretty lady and from your picture you don't look like you've got much to lose! I've only lost one stone so far. I put on a few pounds once I started eating mushys but luckily have managed to lose that again. Xx

I've still got nearly 8 stone to be at a healthy weight. I know I'm probably never going to be that small but I'd be really happy at a size 14 - 16! I'm sure once you get some good restriction you'll do really well! It's nice to have this forum to read to try to help you understand what's happening with your band. I was banded on the nhs and I felt like it was a battle and a lot of stress to get the band but there's little support after. I've emailed my dietician twice with diet queries and she's never replied!

I agree, this sight has been so great... I've got most of my information from here. I've phoned my team a couple of times but always feel like I'm being a nuisance and they're trying to rush me off the phone! Xx

I also have a 10ml band and they put 4ml during the op so had lots of restriction until this week really but it is nice to be able to eat everything. I read someone is now a maintainer but can't eat fruits and I can't thing of anything worse, love my fruit. But ll see when I go for my first fill which is 10december.

6 weeks today. I should have had a fill on Monday but could not make it due to work commitment...so have it done on 10th December
