Guys, I am getting worse by the day I am at different hospital to where I had my sleeve op and will asked to be transferred to UCH today as no one here really knows what a sleeve gastrectomy is!! I am worried they will miss a leak.

Last night I had an awful episode and had to be aided to breath. My oxygen levels are very low and my hand are just so painful and swollen, I can just about use the. They mentioned endocarditis and septuemia. I am so scared.

Sadly, my sister is not a very nice person.

So sorry to hear this I cannot believe they don't know what this surgery is but yes you need to be urgently referred to your original surgeon. Wishing you all the best for a quick recovery and I do hope you get the specialist care you need.

Hope they find out what's wrong ASAP! Sorry about your sister - mine is awful, too. Sent her a pic of me, down 30 lbs, and she came back with a snarky comment. I don't know why I put up with her sometimes. Thankfully I live on the other side of the world and don't have to see her more than once a year Get better! Sending positive vibes!

keep your chin up x keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

i developed a leak post op amongst other things and they managed to fix me. families say the strangest things when distressed so dont take it to heart x
