Get off your high horse and grow up please. I find your attitude absolutely disgusting and an insult to the good people on this forum, which I thought was a kind and welcoming place clearly I was VERY Wrong. I stated my option and what I am having done. what I have been told by my medical professionals and research that I have done, no doubt the OP will make there own decisions your rudeness aside. She isn't a WLS specialist, she hasn't even had surgery She has no right to enforce her views on anyone x She also has posted on previous bander threads about long haul flying with a band, which were totally inappropriate! So maybe the moderators will step in, and nip this whole band negativity by this person in the bud? Good luck with whatever you decide x

I don't think there is any need for that response. Everyone will make there own choice and every surgery has positives and negatives... I suggest you look back and read some of her posts as she is one of many supporting members of this forum and like others are sharing their personal experiences of having the surgery.
There was every right to my response, since I've been rudely had a go at for nothing I don't care if she has joined or is a veteran it's disgusting behaviour if she is a veteran she should know better!!
well said !Oh I love it when it kicks off a bit!! All I can say is some people get a balloon, some research balloon and get a band, some research a band and get a sleeve, some research a sleeve and get a bypass! All have risks..bands fail and leak, sleeves stretch, leak or aren't small enough..bypasses are too big or lead to malabsorption . In the end none if us know what's in store but some are more successful than others..who knows why. Could be our bodies reaction, could be following rules could just be the toss if the coin. All I will say is once the weight has gone..if you get there on your journey..look at what you're left with for the rest if your life. It's exciting watching the scales go down but when that stops it's seeing how you cope then. The loss if food in your life starts to hit after the excitement of weight loss goes, believe me..I'm there, so chose wisely for you and good luck! Getting sleeved is something I don't regret but it brings new challenges! Like looking like an emaciated skeleton!! But seriously..everyone deserves their own journey and no choice is the wrong choice..we all need each other for advice! Cheer up gang members x
