just try not to let your wounds get wet or too wet n make sure they dry properly when you get out recover if you have to should be ok xx

I was just over a week after I got my staples out and everynight since. Bliss

Mine were glued so they'res no open bits just but crusty looking xx

Just don't soak if they under the water just put enough in so as not to cover your wounds, incase they come open, still quite new. xx enjoy xx

The doctor gave me waterproof dressings and i had a bath at day 8. They might even sell them in a chemist?? if not get up the doctors, your practice nurse might even have some. Im sure they were called tegaderm dressings.

That's not possible I'm terrible when I'm in the bath I like to just keep the hot tap running so it's ful ful ful, think I'll wait a while or get the waterproof dressings thanks everyone xx

I had my first bath about 5 days post op. Bought a pack of 5 waterproof dressings from Superdrugs. My wounds are glued.

My bath isn't very deep though. So it's easy not to soak my tummy too much. And I keep the tap running too. But the lower overflow deals with that lol

I love the overflow thingy and if it doesnt empty quick enough I unplug the plug and then let the tap run again! I know it's not particularly Eco friendly but It's the only way to bath lol xx

My nurse told me 5-6 days until the plasters come off of the skin, and like you i have had the glued type stitches that dissolve....SO showers for a week she said, but after that, I can bath (if I had one lol)....

I also asked about swimming, but the surgeon said give it a few weeks incase theres some germs in the swimming pool that will get in my scars...
