Baths?

Hey guys, 6 days post op now and feeling good. Was wondering when your allowed to have a bath? Been having showers but dying for a hot bath. Scars are looking fine and I don't think a bath will do anything but what do you all think? X

You will be fine I only have a bath at home no shower, so I was having a bath from coming home post op. If you can, just try to keep your wounds as dry as possible x

It depends what advice you were given, I was for instance not allowed to get my wounds wet for a week! It was a nightmare but needs must.

If in doubt check. Im sure you are aware that any advice given on here, however well intended is no subsitute for proper medical advice.

My book say 3/5 days but I had a bath day 3 and just bought some tesco waterproof dressings and redressed them xx

Sorry not sure but agree with keeping wounds dry.....I have mastered this when in a shower by using a tea towel and holding it with my boobs over my belly haha! I must look a right site!

haha thanks everyone,I think she might of said 5 days and its been a week plus I feel like itll be fine so Im going to get a nice hot bath in a minute woohooo XX
