That sounds more like it! I may give that a go. My previous experiences have been with Sadie, the Bra Lady. Total nakedness and lots of hoisting and prodding!

My last experience at Sadie's hurt my purse much more than my pride, I went to Asda for bras, but I am now between sizes and needed to get measured properly, and £12 per bra is a lot better than £45!

I used to have a shop, so have a bra fitting tape measure, each time measure myself and then pop to M&S, can't beat M&S for bra's I think.

Ooooh whats a bra fitting tape measure like then??

Guys, it is really a good idea to have a bra fitted, even if you are really emberassed. You will see the fitter for the first and last time (and believe me they have seen all sorts of boobies) but a good fitted bra will make a huge difference and make you feel better every day.

John Lewis, Bravissimo and M&S are always good.

Well, I've just come back from a late night shop at M&S for some new bras. Took me 45 minutes trying loads of different sizes before I found one that fit properly. According to several bra size calculators, I was looking for a 40C but I ended up with a 38E ! :D

I have concluded that my boobs, which are as flat as spaniels' ears, and sagging skin under my armpits, mean that regular bra measuring techniques no longer work. Measuring yourself whilst wearing a bra obviously doesn't do it... and measuring yourself without a bra... well, what's there to measure ?:8855:

Hence I have ended up going down another back size and up a cup in order to stuff everything in as neatly as is feasibly possible. I bought a total support bra with extra side support and feel a whole lot more comfortable now - things are lifted and shifted quite nicely thank you ! :banana dancer: Given that I went into M&S wearing a 42DD and came out in a 38E, that's quite a change ! (Mind you, I was a 44F only 4 months ago...)

I have the oppisite (oops spelling) problem, I've gone down to an A cup but still have a 40/42 back so am struggling to find anything at all

i found that ditze when i went to get measured for a bra at marks n sparks a few years ago, they measured me at summat like 44ee and it fell off me, i eventually did buy a bra but something like 40d, weird aint it, the lady in the shop was adament that she was right, even when she saw that it was falling off me, lol. maybe we just got weird boobs hun, lol

i used to use a website called Shapely figures (www.shapelyfigures.com) as i was a 46A or a 46B and they were impossible to find anywhere, and this site did 32-56 A-JJ or something like that

i like ditze would like to know whats the difference between a normal tape measure and a bra fitting one, ive just sent away for a bra measuring kit, but it will be weeks before it arrives, so may have to resort to a normal one.

For those of you near Manchester Salford Bariatric support group had a lady come and give a talk who fitted bras. She could tell what size you were just by looking and does home visits. Perhaps if you phoned up the hospital and spoke to the nurse who runs the group she could give you the contact details.

Sorry Dawny, I don't. I did have a card, if I find it I'll pm you the details. I think Carol (Hopeless case) or Sally (Salski) might have got her contact details. If not I can get them at the next meeting but that won't be until 1st Wed in Nov.
