Im glad your feeling so much better, its a shame it doesnt work for everybody, like with everything i suppose. Im only 5 days out but hopeful its going to work for me.

I'd like to hear more about your reversal Vicky.

Welcome Vicky, I'm sorry that for you the bypass hasn't solved your problems but in fact created others. Like the other ladies I would welcome hearing more of your story. What went wrong, what help you had the warts & all story not to frighten those pre-oppers waiting their turn but to show everyone both sides of the coin & help us all avoid the possible pitfalls we could all succumb to. There but for the grace of god go those of us who are doing ok with our bypasses so far.

Welcome to the forum Hun. I'd love to hear your story, please feel free to be open and honest :) xx

sorry when i posted earlier i went by your stats on the left hand side that says yr 4ft7. i thought yehhh someones shorter than me!! lol

I'm not sure this isn't a wind up. It says in your stats that you're 4'7" and on your post it says 5'5". It says your surgeon is called Mr Manure?
Everyone is asking about your experiences but you never elaborate? This isn't the only post where you've started a topic then gone silent.
I hope I am wrong.

I believe that Victorious means Mr Mannur who works out of three London hospitals. I too would like to hear much more about the OPs story, what they tried before they made this drastic decision, how long was she in hospital, what are the long term implications of a reversal, what's the follow up care plan etc.

Strange.... I'm confused.com

Shows my ignorance I didnt think a bypass could be reversed!

Think we are all waiting to hear Vickys story !!!!

It can be but the surgeon's tend not to go into that pre-op because it's an absolute last resort and a much more dangerous surgery than the original bypass. I would imagine they don't want people to go ahead with a bypass whilst thinking that they can always be reversed if they don't like it. It's only given to people who are having major physical problems as a result of the op.
