I've had loads of bowel surgery which they cancel as a matter of course. The lovely doc pointed out to me that as he's a bowel surgeon his bread & butter work is cancer patients and as disappointed as I am he hoped he'd always be able to postpone my surgery and I'd never end up on his emergency list.
It kinda put it into perspective for me.
Chin up honey. Everything happens for a reason!!
